The SST Steam Head Version 2
We’ve upgraded our standard steam head to work with heavier, glass, and more contoured packaging. This new steam head contains a servo-actuated stopper that will catch your sleeved containers halfway through to give them an extra blast of heat. This extra time allows heavier containers such as glass tinctures, bottles, jars, and cans to be fully sleeved with minimal to no bubbles or wrinkles. It also allows larger and more complex sleeves and containers to fully sleeve within a second’s time. You will now be able to combine multiple products into one sleeve as seen in duo-packs and multi-packs and shrink deep grooves and curves much easier. The motorized system even has “ready-to-go” lights indicating when to catch and insert your next container. There are nine sizes of heads that are all sized to work with existing CoolJarz™ packaging solutions along with other aftermarket packaging.
About the CoolJarz™ SST Shrink Sleeve Labeling Machine
The CoolJarz™ SST is a portable take on the room-sized steam tunnels often used with shrink sleeves. The SST takes up only 4 square feet of space to operate. We refer to this as a shrink sleeve labeling machine because we think this machine can replace the need for traditional labels in our industry. Traditional glued labels can peel off and can be easily damaged. The glue leaves residue on the tube. Often an extra shrink band is needed over your label if your state requires tamper-evident packaging.
Labeling machines constantly break and need to be recalibrated. Shrink sleeve labels are the future. They are not glued to the tube so customers can remove the entire sleeve and leave a clean tube. This blank tube could then be re-used or recycled easier. Shrink sleeve labels wrap around the entire tube and have a built-in tamper-evident perforation. It only takes a one-second drop down the SST steam chute to shrink the sleeve to your tube. There is no recalibrating the SST, just turn it on and start dropping tubes down the chute. You have to see it to believe it.

SST Steam Heads are made to go interchangeably with our shrink sleeve machine so users can quickly switch between container sizes with no inconvenience. The steam head itself serves as a small and quick steam tunnel for containers with shrink sleeves to pass through fully sleeved. Each Steam Head contains grooves that rotate the containers for an even application of steam and heat. This is an upgrade from the slow conveyor belt style “portable” shrink sleeve tunnels and heat guns.
Our steam heads are also engineered to capture and funnel excess moisture back into the water reservoir to eliminate most of the condensation from dripping out of the head. This allows you to conserve more water and you aren't constantly needing to refill your supply.

The servo will be able to catch most containers before fully dropping through, holding them for another second to get an overall perfect application for heavier containers.
