SST Steam Heads are made to go interchangeably with our shrink sleeve machine so users can quickly switch between container sizes with convenience. The steam head itself serves as a small and quick steam tunnel for containers with shrink sleeves to pass through to become fully sleeved. This is an upgrade from the slow conveyor belt style heat tunnels and a drastic improvement over heat guns.
SST Steam Heads are designed for interchangeability with our shrink sleeve machine, allowing users to easily switch between various container sizes without disruption. The steam head works as a compact and swift steam tunnel for containers with shrink sleeves, ensuring complete sleeve application. Inside our patented steam heads are grooves that rotate containers to achieve even heat and steam distribution. This innovation surpasses the sluggish conveyor belt style “portable” shrink sleeve tunnels and heat guns.
To select the appropriate steam head size, begin by measuring the diameter of your container. Once you have obtained the diameter, opt for the next available steam head size larger than the measured diameter. This will ensure optimal performance, as it provides sufficient space for the container to be inserted while still allowing for thorough steam application.
Choosing which size steam head you want will ultimately depend on the diameter of the widest part of the container.
The diameter of the container should be lower than that of the steam head. However, the closer the steam head’s diameter is to that of the container will result in a cleaner seal. The diameters that fit with each steam head for our EcoLite™ line of containers.
